In recent years,more and more people choose travel to enjoy their lifes.Tourism is now the world's largest industry.There are two sides about tourism--the benefits and the costs.Let us think about this problem.
Firstly,ourism is one of the most effective ways of redistributing wealth, by moving money into local economies from other parts of the country and overseas. It brings income into a community that would otherwise not be earned.Also support community facilities and services that otherwise might not be developed.Not only encourages civic involvement and pride. It's provides cultural exchange between hosts and guests,but also encourages the preservation and celebration of local festivals and cultural events. Facilities and infrastructure developed for tourism can also benefit residents.And it is promote learning of new languages and skills.On the other side tourism attract visitors whose lifestyles and ideas conflict with the community's. An example may be the visitors' use of drugs and alcohol.It whould change individual behaviour and family relationships.
Secondly,fosters conservation and preservation of natural, cultural and historical resources. Tourism encourages community beautification and revitalization. Could be considered a clean industry. But tourism increase litter, noise, and pollution problem happened.And also it'sthreaten specific natural resources such as beaches and coral reefs or historical sites.
However,tourism helps diversify and stabilize the local economy. Provides governments with extra tax revenues.each year through accommodation and restaurant taxes, airport taxes, sales taxes,park entrance fees, employee income tax etc.. Creates local jobs and business opportunities. These include those jobs directly related to tourism (hotel and tour services) and those that indirectly support tourism (such as food production and housing construction). Tourism development of infrastructure (airports, roads, etc.) can cost the local government a great deal of money. And inflate property values and prices of goods and services.

Do the benefits of tourism outweigh the costs?
With the development of society, more and more people are interested in travelling. Admittedly, travelling can bring enjoyment for people, such as it can broaden people’s horizons and enrich everyone’s experience. But many countries strive to develop their tourism to gain more profits in economy. In this way, it makes serious pollution for environment, many trees are cut and natural view is destroyed. This issue will talk about advantage and disadvantage of tourism outweigh the costs and the method of solving these problem.
Nevertheless, the development of tourism bound to influence environment of a place and make numerous pollution. A considerable restaurants, hotels and roads are built in scenic spots to welcome a large number of visitors that come from different countries. It makes huge rubbish that can be seen everywhere. So the environment of scenic spots is destroyed in different extents. For another thing, some local traditional culture is damaged due to the willful change by the local people to cater for taste of visitors.
In a word, tourism has both the positive and negative effects to develop countries. It seems to me that a country should be balance both two side to find method solving these problem to achieve balance of ecosystem. For example it should be reduce the number of visitors and stop to build large scenic spots. The government pays more attention to protect local environment and culture rather than only in order to increase their economic profits when developing the tourism industry.

In this day and age, with the development of technology and economy the transport can provide more convenient services to tourists. Many countries elaborate their tourism to earn more money. Whether the tourism brings more costs or benefits to human it is still has consideration.
Tourism provides the welfare of the residents of the region. First and foremost, tourism promotes the economy of some region aid them to earn more money. In addition, it can increase the number of employment. There is a research shows that the tourism is increase about 10 per cent in recent decade.
However, tourism has many disadvantages to some region. Firstly, it has huge negative effect on natural environment. In china at some attractions were destroyed because of too many tourists. Secondly, tourism affects the local lifestyle. Last but not mean the least, the tourism will change the culture of some local region. Many cultures are disappearing in this world because of the tourism. You can not hard to imagine that the tourism to some region which preserve their traditional culture which will be swapped by the increasing number of tourists.
To sum up, the tourism will bring many negatives to some regions and affect their life culture. In my personal prospect the local government should take this phenomenon to consider. May be they should announce some policies to protect (eg: Restrictions on the number of tourists) the local culture.

Last Wednesday I and my friend Sue made a presentation. I'm very glad and surprised because Jennifer said good. Before we made the presentation, Jennifer gave us some advice and tell us how to make it different. So after talking, I changed my topic and researched some charts and information. But I made some mistakes in my presentation. For example, I didn't check the words " abroad" to make sure correct. And forgot some references about my charts. I'm so sorry about this.

In recent year,toursim has developed quickly.A large number of people think the toursim have postitive influence on economic development. "It stimulates enormous investment in infrastructure, most of which also helps to improve the living conditions of local people. It provides government with substantial tax revenues. Most new tourism jobs and business are created in developing countries, helping to equalize economic opportunities and help rural residents from moving to overcrowded cities.” (WTO 2007). However people fail to see is that the toursim produce the disastrous impact which may be irreversible or disastrous.As far as i concerned,the advantage of the toursim which devlop rapidly is far outwigh the disadvantafes.
The important and serious impact of toursim is destroyed.With the development of toursim,more people choose the travel to spend time in every year.Without limit of population who visit the scenic spots,the local who want to get more benefits accept much more victors for spots.A part of victors climb engrave or destroy the scenic spots.And the behabior may lead to the spots are damaged seriously.Subsidin or disappearing,the spots must cost much money to be protected and repaired.
Another effect is pollution.A lot of victors don't restrict themsevels,so they cause some environment problem like water glass or air pollution.With development of economic and toursim,a majority of vistors choose the plane to travel.While it have serious environmental effect."Because of the aggressive impact of greenhouse gas emissions,their threat to the global climate is more serious.Greenhouse gas emissions increase causes air pollution and tourists throw rubbish randomly causes the local environment to become worse and worse".(BBC news, 2005) About water pollution,there is dead water in some scenic spots.With the rubbish,the water always expire an offensive smell.
To my point of view,even though the toursim is benefit for economic development,we must find the balance between the economic and environment.And the vistors have responsility to control their own behavior,the government have duty to protcet the scenic spot.
