Last week we have a group presentation with Justin and Karin together. our topic is about China and Amercan Culture connection. Before we begian make sure this topic, we were ask Jenifer can we through this topic to expain global communication, she give us some useful suggestions. And we use one week to collect information, and prepare this presentation. Because before our group, we saw a lot of good group presentation, we want better than them and show some different ideas with them. So, we think about many special ideas, and we also use a lot of gifts. But the important thing is we can not digression.
After the presentation at last week, we know we have a good presention, because we don't digression, and we show that all we prepare things and ideas. The atmosphere of the reaction of students and teachers are very good. We are very satisfied with this presentation, hoping the next opportunity that we can do better.

As far as I am concerned,I was satisfied with our group presentation.We choosen useful topic and had good team work.In the presentation,we used the video to show the disadvantage of plastic bags.However I had weakness in my presentation.First my speed was so fast,next time I will control the speed.Then I could participate the discussion much more better.I hope I can do better in my next presentation.

Finish our presentation, overall speaking, I think it is success. Every group members prepared very carefully and tacit cooperation. Show the highlight of the presentation that we put the short video in the ppt. That way can clearly and direct support this topic We choose this topic was closed reality and daily life. For my part, jennifer indicate my weak point , Eye-contact missing. A good presentation, eye-contact communication is very important which is a mark of confidence. I have to pay attention to that. Next presentation i hope we can do better than before.

At first, the topic we chose is good, which is close to our daily life. Secondly, we use the short vedio in the first few minutes to show the disadvantage of plastic bag. This idea is good and tell people the disvantages of plastic bag directly. On the other hand, we still have many drawbacks. When I give an introduction, I should also give people a general idea. In addition, I should pay attention to eye contact. I should have more eye contace instead of looking at PPT. I believe do the better in the next time.

I have been in Sussex about 6 months,in this half year,I have learn lots of knowledges about english.Before I came here,I could not open my mouth and speak english,but now,I always talk with my housemate,the girl who comes from japan.That is my best achievement.Since I study in pre-master,I foundevery parts I should improve,there is a big gap from master level.I should more study hard.From next week,I will make a plan for listening,and every week I will write a journal in english.
I think I am a slacker,I do everying just like eat whatever food,I do not care about them.My friend told me that 'Change whatever I can change'.he is right I think.
In uk,in sussex of university,I very enjoying my life,there are so many interesting things I can remember,like Journey to Scotland,barbequed on the beach and so on.However,I miss my parents too much,I want to eat my hometown snack.More than a month later,I will come back to China.It gives me the most powerful strength when I feel exhausted.

Gong's writing week 6

I have learnt a lot useful knowledge sine this term. For example, discussion skill.

Those study skills are very important for master courses.

The most important skill is the writing skill which can help me to write essay and report .I have learnt how to make a lecture note, how to find the key words. When we writing a conclusion, we should show the clear structure and use my own words to organize the main idea of this essay. The discussion skill is also very important; we need to very clear what is the discussion point, show the both side to others, for example disadvantage and advantage .when we have the discussion, we need to do the research before show my ideas. We should be active to join the discussion. From every group presentation, I have learnt how to organize the group work and how to work with others .when other students do their presentation, I have learnt the presentation skill from them.

About the participation, I need more positive in the class. Also, I should try to communicate with my friends sue English. That will be very helpful for improve my English. I’ll do more practice about reading, lessoning, writing, speaking.

Thanks for Jennifer’s teaching. I hope you can give me some study suggestion for my studying.

The topic of presentation we chosen is close to our lives, the audience were interesting in it, but Our topic sounded too general, it is difficult to grasp, maybe we should select a specific aspect and gave more detail. In the speech I made, I was very nervous, I forgot all the contents of my speech, I didn’t have good use of charts, I even forgot to translate into English. So I think I didn’t do my best. Anyway, thanks for my partner Jin, we were discuss together, he gave me a lot of help.
At last, I want to say if I have another opportunity, I will spend more time to prepare for presentation, and to feel relaxed.

Actually,I do not wanna to talk about progressed I had.The more knowledge you learn,the more konwledge you find you would learn.For me,I think my biggest weakness is my pronunciation.Ray sometimes complains that my pronunciation make him confuse what I say and my teacher who taught me in ELPP mention that I should promote this at the first.Besides this,last assignment I sure I can not gain a good mark.However, even though I would not be ill,I can not do it well either,because my vocabulary is tiny.This is another part I should progress. In addition,we will have a listening note-taking in the finally exam,so I should advance my listening and note-taking as soon as possibly.

It is just one month left before our term finish. Actually,It would be a habit include watching the channel4 news via interner,listening VOA-English and remembering at least 40 words everyday and so on.I believe that I would gain the effect if I persist.I have a course about the religion everyweek.It is a good opportunity to communicate with the english people.Gosh,this is all of chinese students in our class,sometimes we are getting use to speak Mandarin,it is not good for learning.

Anyway,I am keen to talk with you about progress meetings on next week.

Looking back a half term of study in Sussex, this is my first time to accept such a system of learning English. By this period of learning English, compared to the past I found that I progressed a lot , at first I was very afraid of my poor English, I feared that other people will laugh at it, so I didn’t like communication with others, I tried to avoid participate in the discussion. But through Jennifer’s class, I got a lot, not only professional knowledge, but also in academic skills,.
Now I enjoy in participation, I’d like to show my own point with each other. Although my grammar exist a considerable problem, I can’t use correct way to express what I mean, sometimes others couldn’t understand me, but I think it is a good step to speaking English. And I also think summary skill is useful for reading and writing, it can improve the ability of understand. Use own word to describe a article is very difficult, this is a test for our vocabulary, so after class, I through a lot of reading and visit the English website to improve vocabulary, usually I felt boring, But so far I didn’t find a better way to instead of it. About presentation, it’s very important, it related to the team's co-operation but I think I didn’t do my best, I felt nervous, I can’t remember anything, I was afraid of the face of so many people show my point of view, Or I didn’t do enough preparatory work, but after it, I acquired more. Listening is my weakness skill, in most of time, I couldn’t catch the main point, but now after class I listen to BBC program, because somebody tell me it is very helpful in improving listening, I hope so. After class, I started reading English novels, this will not only be able to expand my vocabulary, it also can improve language organizational capacity.
In a word, I eager to improve my English skill, meanwhile, I make efforts to enhance the ability, I also saw my progress, even though I still need more progress in all areas, I believe that effort will be able to see progress.

Weekly Learner Journal- Week 6 by Tony

I have studied in ISC more than 6 weeks. I’d like to join your class very much, because it is very funny, and I also learned useful skills in your classroom. Recently, I learned how to take notes. It not only helps me to improve my reading skills and writing skills, but also helps me to study academic lesson easily in the future. My speaking skill has been improving throw debate and presentation in the past few weeks. I also learned how to cooperate with others from these activities. Besides, I hope I will improve about my listening skills.

At the beginning of the term, on the one hand, my participation inside of the classroom is not very good. But it is becoming better and better later. On My participation outside of the classroom is good, I finished all of homework in time, and I participated in the activities actively which is arranged by the teacher, such as debate and presentation. On the other hand, outside of classroom, I listen to BBC everyday which could help me to improve my listening skill. But it has less opportunity to use English to communicate with others, may be it would be change in the future.

I like UK, it is a fascinating country. I like football very much. Last weekend, I went to Emirates Stadium, it is the home stadium of Arsenal Football Club. It is a nice stadium, and I had a happy travel.

Recently, I found a very useful website to help me learn English. From this website’s forum area, I can see many different sorts of fresh news, and in every news web page, there has the MP3 or Realvideo link to hear. Below the hear link, there also has many articles from different people who had wrote down after hearing by themselves and the computer will choose the best one on the top automatically! Through this website, I can practice my listening fully and collate with the article to see how much information I can catch! And, I believe it’s also the good way to practice “take notes” & “summary”!
But, to be honest, I still feel that my English level can not improve efficiently! Because all Chinese students in a class, and always say Mandarin to each other. I’m so sick of it, coz I come here for English not Chinese. All the time, I just wanna practice my English strongly! And , I can not meet native speaker through the class, that’s so shame! I only try to know more people from different area who speak English after class… And spent a lot of time, use the various ways to study English by myself, such as reading newspaper,reading books,reading magazines,watching English movies,listen English songs,learn the new words from the product's wrapper and poster and so on
You must know, Jennifer, a few days before, I had go to London for 4 days. It’s my first time to go to London. How can I say? So many places I have visit, so amazing! So many passionate people willing to direct the correct way for me where I wanna go! And so many wonderful things I wanna share with you! I love London’s building, especially St. Paul’s, Bukingham Palace, Tower Bridge… I love London’s nice people!!! But, I must say, London’s underground fee too expensive and a little inconvenience, especially for the people with bring the big luggage, because there’s so many stairs up and down.
Yesterday, I went to the Brighton with my Japanese friend together for food shopping. You know, I’m so enjoy Japanese food, and asked she please teach me. Of course, she accepted and shows great zeal to tell me many things about Japanese food culture. Through the converse, I had learned a lot of new English words and many new products which I had never used before. In the evening, we made Japanese food together, and I ate a lot!! Wow, I just can say, I’m satisfied and the Japanese friend so nice!!!
Last but not least,I love living in Brighton, love University of Sussex, love there’s air (actually, clearer than London),love there’s people, love there’s train, love there’s study atmosphere, love my living room, love there’s ladybird, love the location……

The topic of presentation is easy and attractive for the audience,but it is still a little general which means I should design the topic more specificly. I have done my best to give the presentation, and my partner Candy discussed with me a lot before the presentation.However,we still need to divide the time of presentation equally.

Finally,if we have another chance to try again,we will do better.

Week 6 ---Galen

In this time, I have 6 weeks study in Pre-master B, I know this is a good class, and we all hard to work, we also want let us become level A study. Speaking for me, I was not at right time into this term, I was late about 2weeks. And it is also my second time to study Pre-master, I know what should I to do. In this class, I think my listen skills have some improve, because our teacher have litter American accent, and I also increase time to listen some english music and watching some foreign movies when I was at home. Therefor, I can easy to understand what teacher said in the class, and what other students said when we discuss. So, I will continue this behaviour, it can help me improve my english listening skills.
On the other hand, I was worry about my participation in this class. Some times I know the right of that question which is teacher ask us, but I don’t want to say it. That why the teacher think I always divert my attention. And outside of the classroom, I still keep that situation, I don’t like talk to other people. I know that is worng, but it is hard to let me change it. In the future, I think I must change that bad behaviour, and be better to communicate with other people, be better to touch the social. It is can help me to improve my participation inside and outside of the classroom.
At last, I still need hard to improve my english level, including reading, writing and speaking skills. In left 4 weeks, I hope I will increase the rate of my participation of the classroom.

Weekly Learner Journal 6-----Justin

How time flies! Half term passed, it`s time to to assess my own progress in the course. I have learned a lot of knowledge, but some aspects also need to improve over the second half of term.

I get progress up until point in the course. Through half-term study, my English level and academic knowledge have progressed. I have learned how to discuss with partners, how to do presentation, how to get notes and write summary, how to write learner journal. I also studied some speaking and listening skills and economics knowledge, and so on. Compared with the beginning of term, I feel I have progressed. I think the most important point is I become to like English, I know how to study it and I have the unbeatable internal power for study.

English lesson is very important for English study. So in the class, I pay full attention in class and make necessary notes. I discuss actively with my partners, we study each others. After class, Imake full use of after-class time to review and preview lessons. I listen BBC everyday, try the best to integrate the locally to practice English with local people. Next, I should extend study time and enhance the listening. Firstly, Ishould be brave to talk with others in English. Secondly,I should try to listen to all kinds of English programmes as much as possible. Thirdly, Ishould often read English books which helps me enlarge my vocabularies.Fourthly, Ishould practice our writing skills. Whenever Ihave any idea, we should get the pen and write it down at once.

In a word, Impossible is nothing,soIbelieve myself and have enough confidence. I've made up my mind to study hard,trying to make greater progress.

Jin's Weekly Learner Journal- Week 6

So far, I have been studying in UK for more than 2 month. By this period of time, I progressed a lot either in study skills or communication skills. I learnt some skills from 3 group presentations I have had, for example, I learnt about how to express myself while having group discussion, and how to search informations for my presentation. I feel very happy that now I find I have progressed so much. However, when we did some listening courses, I realized my listening is really poor, that means more taking-notes practices are required. For improving my listening, one-hour exercise about taking notes will be carried out.

Talking about the participation, I have been more positive than before. I have tried myself to integrate the class and the study life. In the class, I feel comfortable that I could discuss with my classmates in English though after class we were more likely to make conversation in Chinese. This is tough problem because we have so many Chinese near our dorms, so less chances for us to use English language. So I have tried to travel alone during the half-term holiday, book the train tickets and hotel by phone, and I will create more chances for myself to speak English for myself.

Ray’s learner Journal week #6

During this period I learned more from the course, and I was happy with my most progress of skills. First of all, I learned how I can play a role in debates. It can improve my speaking skill and also can improve my communication skill. Also I got more practice in our classes about presentation skill, it really useful for me, because I was a representative in my company and I used to do presentation to co-operate companies in the internet industry meeting in China. Indeed, I never try to give a presentation in English. In our classes, I felt my presentation skill has been improved after I finished it even I have some problems during this period. By the contrast, I also find some weaknesses for me. The biggest problem is my hand writing skill, when I take listening task I find a big problem that I can totally miss the next sentences, when I try to take notes. Because I should use my brain to think how I can spell the words, it’s terrible. In this way I could miss next one or two sentences. So I think I should watch some TV program and try to write some ting as well.

There is something about my participation that I happy with my participation in the classes. I believe that if you want to do something well, you should pay 100% attention on it. On the other hand, I always remember some new words and watch British television on weekday, I brought the TV license online. I sometime go out with my friends during the weekend. I would like to chat with oversea student, however I only know a few friends here. I think it will be ok with time.

By the way Fire festival was really fun.

Weekly Learner Journal 6-----By Maria

Since the start of this term until now, I learned a lot of knowledge and academic skills in Jennifer’s class. I also have a huge improve, such as writing, listening, speaking, and reading. Especially, I can communicate with other country’s people.

Firstly, I have learned the notes-taking of reading, I think this skills is very important, it helps me to understand the structure of the article and makes me know the content of the article. Although I have weakness in this skill, I can work very hard and shoot for doing better. Moreover, I think I read some articles which is complex, I cannot understand the main idea about it, I want to improve this aspects to understand perfectly. For listening, it is my weakness, I definitely have some improve, but I think sometimes I heard the complex article or the accent pronunciation, I cannot understand them all the same. So, I think I should listen more and more news or TV program to advance my listening skill.

Secondly, I learned the presentation skill, it is a good way to improve our ability in English expression. It helps me to express English clearly. Furthermore, the presentation is a team work and it needs work together to finish it. I think our group in discussion and organization is good, maybe because we have a good leader. Through this presentation I learned more skills, it is very helpful for me.

Finally, I always participate all kinds of activity to polish up my speaking skill, and in classroom I also try my best to answer teacher’s questions. Participation is very important, if we often participate English activity, we will have a huge progress in English speaking. So, in the outside of classroom, we should communicate with other country’s people to advance my English study.

Overall, I can work hard to improve my English academic skill and try my best to participate all kinds of social activity to improve my speaking skill.

In recent times, I'v adapted my thinking to the new conditions. I learning a lot such as reading, speaking, listening, and writing. I remember at the begining, I was afraid to say my opinions, because I don't konw how to integrat into class. But now I feel I was one of them in class.

Obviously, I feel my reading skills has be improved. Because when I was reading news or magazines I can more easier to undersdand what was that mean. The most impordent skill I've learned that is written summary from Jennifer. Eventhough it is not perfect, but I was work hard to tried to do the best. I have sure is how to use the references and how to make use of keywords. Sometimes I would like to readingmagazines ang bbc news to spend my free time. I think it was a good way to improve my English. There is no doubt that I should listen radio everday for improve my listening skills and pronunciation.

There is no denying that the participation plays a pivotal role in learning English. I was enjoy discuss with classmates in the class. We have own opinions to gaven each other and think about it. I'd like to chat with my friends on msn who came from France. This was true in that we want halp each other to improved speaking skills. However, I didn't take some activities such as recreational activites in university. I think I could have confidence to try it in the second half of term.

During this times I learned a olt of useful knowlegeds . for example ,presentation ,debate ,summary .I feeled my english skill is progerssed up ,even though the progressed is a little .

Firstly ,I learned the presentation skills ,this is a team work ,should with partner discussion ,and organized ,logic and so on .For my presentation ,my topic is very general ,but needed to be more evidence of research and data to support my ideas.However ,I with my partner lacked of consensus ,make a mistakes . With this presentation , I cognizanted I have a lot of field should improve. I believe next time I will do better !

(Study in sussex university with my friends)
I have been here 1 month and the half term was finished.In this time I want to release some comment of my learning experience.

My english skills have some progress but it not achieve my target.First of all,The speaking,I have progress rapidly.At the beginning of this term, my speaking sucks but with the discussions,answering the quesions and presentation it was increased.In addition,reading and writting have some progress but these skills' improvement are slow to solve this problem I think increasing the vocabulary and grammar is a good way.Lastly,listening is my weakness when I make the notes-taking of listening I always slow,in this aspect I need more practice (the BBC 6 Min. english).

In my opinion,My participation inside the classroom is active.I can strive as much as possible to mate with classmates and teachers,such as to be a chair person with Tony and disscussion with other students.However,outsid the classroom I think my participation is not well,I need more proactive communication with native speaker.

In a flash, I has now got through the half term. In these days, I learned a lot of knowledges from the Jennifer's class. I think that experiences is my biggest gain in my life.

First of all, I learned the debat skills, like team work, organized, logic and so on . Originally, I am a little afraid to participate in the discussion. I fear some wrong opinions would effect the whole team level. Maybe my English foundation is not good, so this problem still intertwine me. Especially, the first debate, I am rarely participate in it. But after period of time, through practices and study more skills when I am in the class. I feeling has a little progress than before .I can take an active tin the debate. I am so happy of it. Though get small achievement, it is not enough.

Secondly, in this half term which the very important link is the summary. I think that is a challenge for many of us, I am no different. Summary can improve the student should correctly know the meaning of the article and writing ability. I can got most summary emphasis from the class. Although last two assignments that I am not pass it , I was not baffled. Let me see my insufficiency, I summarize well. I hope I can pass the final assignment.
Finally, as for participation, i think I try my best to take part in the group discussion. I can show my idea to my partner or group. But I am not doing enough from the interaction with teacher. Last time I will become more actively and more self-confident and bold in the class. I hope I can.

Half term was fly and also 4 months have passed，i have realized that i was wasting my time and might be nothing have enhaned，must be a truth is it by the reason of result is anything.At the same time，i known how to make notes and summary form read a reading，however，i think i did not learn the skills.To be honest，it's more harder than how to disgusting a word between noun，adjective，verb and blah blah when i study in English-Language- Prepared for Premaster.Let's back to the summary topic，through the 3 times exam of summary，i fount out what was my short and what part i need to practice.
Therefore，i know i must hard work before the final examination will come as well as the last 3 weeks.

Participation,i just had answered the tutor's questions as soon as possible when you have any questions,that might be more mistake i made so that i need to think it carefully when i want to answer the question.Everyday i met a same problem that is when after the lesson,i will no chance to speak in English and this reason is same effected on my firends as well as our group,Chinese students and i have a pity on myself.

During this time,my English skill is progressed up,even though the rate is not so fast.First,it's the spoken skills.There are some problems with my spoken English,which is not familiar,such as pronunciation,vocabulary,structure,because I do not have choice to practice with English people in China.So in the start of term,I'm nevors and unconfident with my spoken english.However in UK,I have some opportunities to communicate with British person to improve my spoken english skill.Now I'm glad to practice with British people.Second it's the acadmic skill.In this time,I leant about plan,structure,listening,taking notes,summary essay and so on.But there are difficult skills,eapecially the listening,taking notes and summary.In the class,I had learnt some methods about how to write and improve,and take some ecercises.Now I'm better than the begining of the term.However,even though my skills are enhanced though the server exercises,but I'm not good at theres. Therefore,I may do more some exercises to familiar the skills.Generally speaking,I'm glad my English skill is enhanced,but I think I may do much more better,and improve more greatly.Next it's about presentation.In China,I do not have much opportunity to have presentation in the class.But I know it's the important skill for my ability.Although I only do a presentation in JO's class,but I had know much presentation methods though the class and some experience of another groups.I will try the best for my presentation.

About the participation,inside of the class,I try to participate actively in the discuss.But I may not foucs on or take part in the discussion once in a while.Sometimes I have bugout of the questions which is not familiar or unknow.However I join the class and discussion most of the time.Outside of the class,I always take part in the discussion,particularly of the debate.Beacuse I think it's the good way to exercise the spoken english,response and the ability of organize.

In this time, I had learnt a lot of English skills.And I hope I can improve much more better.

Weekly Learner Journal 6-----Lucy

Since came to UK, I have learned about one month. In the course of learning English, I learned much skills, e.x. how to make notes and summary. We have made three summary assignments. Before we toke the assignment, Jennifer taught us how to get high mark. But in the last two assignments, I only got 4 and I didn't pass it. Before I had the third assignment, I reviewed Jennifer's notes and I tried to think how can I improve my mark. While, when i had the assignment, I was very nervous about it and not enough time for me. So, my paper was not very clear. I'm so sorry about it. But I tried my best to finish it, I hope I can pass the test. Buddha bless!!! Except the summary, I had the presentation. I and my partner Sue are worried about it.Because we didn't know how to choose the topic very well. Jennifer talked with us and told us what's the topic was better and how to make the presentation well. So after the talk I chose the another topic and added some charts. Thank you for Jennifer's help.

The difference between China and UK's education is the discussion in the class and after class. In your class I can understand clearly , so I can dicuss the question with my partner. And after class, I can discuss the homework with my classmate and finish it. I also read news and listen to BBC online, but my listening is so poor and I'm very worried about it. And I want to know how can I improve my listening well. I think it's a big problem. While, I will try my best and need more time to do it.

Weekly Learner Journal-Week6---by Sue

the Halloween

During these days, i have learned some useful knowledges .For example,like how to prepare a debate , how to write a summary, how to do a presentation and so on. At first, i am very nervous when i know that we should have do a presentation. Because it accounts some percentage of our final score and i don't have enough experience of doing an english presentation. After Jennifer 's introduction, i know that a good presentation should include a good introduction , a clear structure, reference and so on. I also gain some useful informations and experiences from our classmates who did the presentation before lucy and i. Although i have practiced several times before the presentation, i did't have any confidence about it.When i finished our presentation, jennifer said "good" ,at that moment, i realized that i have masteryed how to do a presentation.


Though we are in uk , i found that these are no differences when we are in china, all our classmates are chinese, and my roommates are chinese too. I have less chances to communicate with others in english except we are in classroom. So in the class, i try my best to use english to discuss with my partner and pay attention on what Jennifer have taught.when we have a discussion , i always take part in the discussion and express my dieas about that question . After class , i usually watch some english films and drama to improve my listening . I hope i can develop a habit to read some english news every day .I think that is good for my reading and vocabulary. And i also want to make friends with someone whose native language is english .I can practice my speaking more and more.

I believe the knowledges i have learned in this half term is helpful for my future .At last, thanks for jennifer'help.

Week 6---By Sylvia

During these time, I learned a lot of things about listening, speaking, writing and reading. The greatest progress is writing a summary. At first, I don't know how to write a summary correctly and what is needed to a good summary. I only get four score in the first assignment. Through reading the feedback and test modle from Jennifer, I know a complete summary need reference and how to find key words to organize a summary in own words. So I made great progress on second assigment that I got 9 score after my efforts. I'm very happy for my progress and I will continue studying harder. I will focus on listening summary in the following time because I have not conifdence on it.

As for participation, I always take part in group and contribute my ideas. In the classroom, I discuss with my partner. We can exchange our ideas about questions and express our views from each other. Outside the classroom, we will have hold meetings and discussions to prepare our presentation. In the rest time, I sometimes will listen BBC news to improve my listening after finishing my homework. In the next time, I should strgenth this aspect and take active part in group discussion. Travel is becoming cheaper than before, so many countries open their doors in the world, and more and more people want to visit other countries. Do the benefits of tourism outweigh the costs?

Nowadays, with the high technology and the frequency of communities with each other, the travel cost has been decrease more than before. Thus, there are more countries welcome visitors from other countries to travel their nation which it is increasing the income. But tourism also might bring some problem to these countries, such as environment problem, committed crime, etc. However, I think it is rather boon than bane. The tourism in positive way would bring the amount of benefit effect than in negative way.

Initially, the visitors might build the stronger economic what is the reason is for business and travel. Because the people from aboard perhaps take extra consumption and trade. For example, around the beauty spot usually have some small craft markets that it is created by local person who sold the particular souvenir. It is possible one of reason that becomes rich for nation people.

In addition, the tourism would carry into the new and good idea, the innovative skill, and their some intelligence. It is a strong stimulates to reform the social value or the traditional mind in every country. Therefore, some ideas might make great inventions. It created by the interaction of communication.

Above all, it might do your best to welcome and encourage the travelers coming, even promote them to pay more money. Meanwhile, maybe we should discuss how to balance between the life quality and the powerful tourism. Then, the travelers and tourist industry may get a win-win situation.

In present-day society, it is generally believed that tourism is playing an increasingly important role in our lives. So many people like travel when they have free times. The World Tourism Council estimates that travel and tourism provides employment for more than 100 million people world wide and is responsible for over 7% of world wide capital investment. (n.d.). Develop the industry of tourism can get high benefit for this world.
Tourism is a labor intensive industry and creates many job opportunities, especially for young people and part-time and full-time workers. In the tourism hospitality and recreation industries alone there are 50 categories of employment and approximately 200 classifications of occupations. Tourism creates opportunities for the establishment of new products, facilities and services and expansion of existing businesses which would not otherwise be justified solely on the resident population.
For those two opportunities, tourism really can get much benefit with the world, but on the other hand, travel industry also will effect the world environment. The worldwide tourism industry generated an estimated $4.4 trillion in 1998 and poses a serious threat to the environment and the livelihoods of local people. “Jamie Sweeting, manager of Conservation International's Ecotourism Program said their goal is to transform all tourism that relies on nature into a truly positive force to help protect natural areas." (1999).
In the final analysis, to put all into one nutshell, all the evidence lends the strongest support to my persuasive conclusion that develop the tourism industry can get high benefit is the truth, but we who are all the people in this world will think about how to protect the environment and natural areas.

Recently，with the fast department of developed tourism means we can easily to go a famous place for sightseeing and openeyes，in the same time,we relized more convince than before，however also brings some cost problems to us,which i will explain thames in the following two side.
First of all,we can clearly konw there have more disadvantages，some local development of traveling just for earning money form selling the tickes some of famous view has destroied after opening to the public people.Maybe goverment received lots money form the tickets,but someplace hard to repaired them when them has been broken even the benefit not enough to re bulit them,so it is a good fact that we should remind the govement which one is better way.
Furthermore,there have an other bad effects on trips,some of visiter did not have a better behavior when them go to the old place and do great damage.For example,more and more people like to cave them name into the buliding to prove them visited there,what is more,take some of so-called souvenir what is not allow take away.This is a normal action that we always saw them that happened on our front of sighting.

Firstly,ourism is one of the most effective ways of redistributing wealth, by moving money into local economies from other parts of the country and overseas. It brings income into a community that would otherwise not be earned.Also support community facilities and services that otherwise might not be developed.Not only encourages civic involvement and pride. It's provides cultural exchange between hosts and guests,but also encourages the preservation and celebration of local festivals and cultural events. Facilities and infrastructure developed for tourism can also benefit residents.And it is promote learning of new languages and skills.On the other side tourism attract visitors whose lifestyles and ideas conflict with the community's. An example may be the visitors' use of drugs and alcohol.It whould change individual behaviour and family relationships.

Secondly,fosters conservation and preservation of natural, cultural and historical resources. Tourism encourages community beautification and revitalization. Could be considered a clean industry. But tourism increase litter, noise, and pollution problem happened.And also it'sthreaten specific natural resources such as beaches and coral reefs or historical sites.

However,tourism helps diversify and stabilize the local economy. Provides governments with extra tax revenues.each year through accommodation and restaurant taxes, airport taxes, sales taxes,park entrance fees, employee income tax etc.. Creates local jobs and business opportunities. These include those jobs directly related to tourism (hotel and tour services) and those that indirectly support tourism (such as food production and housing construction). With the development of society, more and more people are interested in travelling. Admittedly, travelling can bring enjoyment for people, such as it can broaden people’s horizons and enrich everyone’s experience. But many countries strive to develop their tourism to gain more profits in economy. In this way, it makes serious pollution for environment, many trees are cut and natural view is destroyed. This issue will talk about advantage and disadvantage of tourism outweigh the costs and the method of solving these problem.

First of all, “the tourism is now the world’s largest industry. So the environment of scenic spots is destroyed in different extents. Tourism provides the welfare of the residents of the region. First and foremost, tourism promotes the economy of some region aid them to earn more money. In addition, it can increase the number of employment. There is a research shows that the tourism is increase about 10 per cent in recent decade.

However, tourism has many disadvantages to some region. Firstly, it has huge negative effect on natural environment. In china at some attractions were destroyed because of too many tourists. Secondly, tourism affects the local lifestyle. Last but not mean the least, the tourism will change the culture of some local region. Many cultures are disappearing in this world because of the tourism. You can not hard to imagine that the tourism to some region which preserve their traditional culture which will be swapped by the increasing number of tourists.

To sum up, the tourism will bring many negatives to some regions and affect their life culture. In my personal prospect the local government should take this phenomenon to consider. Before we made the presentation, Jennifer gave us some advice and tell us how to make it different. So after talking, I changed my topic and researched some charts and information. But I made some mistakes in my presentation. For example, I didn't check the words " abroad" to make sure correct. And forgot some references about my charts. I'm so sorry about this.

From the presentation, i hope i can learn how to share my information with others. And I can improve my speaking from this.

The important and serious impact of toursim is destroyed.With the development of toursim,more people choose the travel to spend time in every year.Without limit of population who visit the scenic spots,the local who want to get more benefits accept much more victors for spots.A part of victors climb engrave or destroy the scenic spots.And the behabior may lead to the spots are damaged seriously.Subsidin or disappearing,the spots must cost much money to be protected and repaired.

Another effect is pollution.A lot of victors don't restrict themsevels,so they cause some environment problem like water glass or air pollution.With development of economic and toursim,a majority of vistors choose the plane to travel.While it have serious environmental effect."Because of the aggressive impact of greenhouse gas emissions,their threat to the global climate is more serious.Greenhouse gas emissions increase causes air pollution and tourists throw rubbish randomly causes the local environment to become worse and worse".(BBC news, 2005) About water pollution,there is dead water in some scenic spots.With the rubbish,the water always expire an offensive smell.

To my point of view,even though the toursim is benefit for economic development,we must find the balance between the economic and environment.And the vistors have responsility to control their own behavior,the government have duty to protcet the scenic spot.

about the presentation ---Sue

I think the topic of the presentation is good. Because we have the same situation ,we can have resonance in this topic easly.The structure of our presentation is very clear .We gave some data to explain how the study abroad popular is.
When i was doing presentaion, i was very nervous . So i can't control my speed .It is too fast.So my pronunciation is not clear.
I think i can do it better next time.
