Weekly Writing 3- By Rebecca

Nowadays, many of people prefer to travel during the holidays. Travel can bring the enjoyment, people can relax, increase knowledge like historical sights. Tourism could promote the economy of the cities and towns .However, tourism also has negative and adverse impact which can bring cultural monuments were varing degrees of damage and destroy the natural environment. This essay will talk about the tourism whether have advantage outstrip the cost.

In the first place, tourism bring more advantages are without doubt. Fuel economic growth and increase the job opportunities. For example " Tourism is the fourth largest contributor to the economy of the West Midlands. Each year more than 140 million visits are made to our region, generating over ₤5 billion to the economy and supporting more than 130000 jobs"(network station :Advantage West Midlands). Secondly, the infrastructure development, like roads, water, electricity.

However, tourism has actually bring very many negative impacts. Firstly, cultural destruction. "human damage hastening destruction of Great Wall. As a result of natural erosion, such as weathering and human damage. The Great Wall, the common wealth of humanity is under threat of aggravated destruction" ( March 8 2004 xinhuanet.com). Secondly, environmental destruction .Such as littering from the tourist and some developers exploit the game driver that lead to the forest was devastated. Even some tour operators in order to seek exorbitant profit who regardless of ecological protection, enlarging the visitors to the tourism. So the entironment get more worst.

In all , the tourism has both advantages and disadvantages. But in my opinion ,nowadays tourism might has more harm than good. The tourism is an entirely good thing. But do not make the enjoyment depends on environmental damage.

Do the benefits of tourism outweight the costs?

Any countries have tourism, and no any country can without tourism. Now tourism problem become a big issue in the world, because it both has good side and bad side. Up to now, it is difficult to charge the tourism is good or bad. In this essay I’ll talk about the advantages and disadvantages form different aspects and try to found the solutions of bad points.

In the first instance, every country needs tourism to improve economic. The reason is it can increase the income of country, production of products, reducing the number of unemployed people and so on, especially earning and employment. ( Douglas C. Frechtling, Endre Horváth ,1999) For example, Tourists pay the money for the services such as transportation, hotel, foods and guides, and they sometimes by the life products and souvenirs. In this way the people who are working in these industries can earn much money and the government also can get amount of tax. It can use to develop the commercial centres, hospitals, schools and improve the welfare for citizens. We can imagine that if one country had no any tourist, it should lost amount of money which related with tourism. And it could in trouble that it has no enough money to develop its country especially poor country.

Indeed, tourism can destroy the environment both of natural environment and human-made buildings. Because the tourists cost a big number of natural resource and make pollutions, it can harm the ecosystem. ( Andrew Holden,2000) Also the big number of tourists can damage the ancient buildings. In the other words, if you lost your surroundings how you can living there. It would be a big problem send to you descendant. And this problem will become bigger and bigger, it should be more difficult to solve in the future.

In conclusion, the government should aware about this problem. At the first, they should limit the number of tourists to reduce the damage and fund to protect the environment and old landmarks. They should keep a balance between damages and environment protection, because if you lost your environment, nobody can rebuild it for you.

Weekly Writing 3 ---by Sue

Nowadays, tourism is more and more popular in our lives. Tourism is now the world's largest industry. But in the meantime , tourism sparked much debate. Some peoople assert that tourism is bad for the environment, we should control ,while others argue that is good for the developing of the economic , we should promote tourism. Personally, i am in favor of the former view.

Tourism is a labour intensive industry and creates many job opportunities, especially for young people and part-time and full-time workers. In the tourism hospitality and recreation industries alone there are 50 categories of employment and approximately 200 classifications of occupations.Tourism provides the opportunity for residents to interact with other people and cultures and brings new ideas into the community. It can ecourages the learning of new languages and skills. The facilities and infrastructure developed for tourism can also benefit residents.

Tourism may be a threaten specific natural resources such as beaches and coral reefs or historical sites. It would increase litter, noise, and pollution. Tourism would brings increased ompetition for limited resources such as water and land, resulting in land degradation, loss of wildlife habitats and deterioration of scenery. Tourism seasonality Directly contributes to sewage and solid waste pollution. Emissions generated by forms of transport are one of the main environmental problems of tourism. Tourism development of infrastructure (airports, roads, etc.) can cost the local government a great deal of money. Employment tends to be seasonal. Workers may be laid off in the winter season.

In summary, i would concede tha tourism can bring some benefits ,for example ,in economic. Despite that , the tourism is bad for the enviroment .Over all ,i am convinced that our government should give some policy to control the bad effect of tourism industry.

In present day society ,hundreds of millions of people travel around the globe for leisure time .The booming tourist industry has created more job openings .Many people have said goodbye to poverty though involvement in tourist business .But people ,nevertheless, hold various opinion in terms of the issue whether it is a blessing or a curse .Every coin has its two sides .

Tourism contributes significantly to a country a country is economy . It plays activity in boosting the gross domestic production ,promoting the internal demand demand ,and increasing foreign currency revenue .Tourism impels the improvement and completion of a county is infrastructure ,and has given birth to many industrial sectors. .In addition, railways ,highways, and waterways transportation have been noticeably lifted ,plus the development of the building ,telecommunication ,catering ,recreational industry.

Anything is not any advantage without disadvantage.Firstly tourism gives rise to a series of environmental issues ,broken the ecosystem of the scenic spots .Because too much tourism ruins the natural habitates of wildlife .Secondly ,tourism may do damages to the local lives ,if too many tourism are crowded into public places ,that are also enjoying the locals ,the resident normal life can be disrupted.

To sum up, tourism brings new money into an area and generates jobs ,income and tax revenues.By contrast ,tourism may cause serious environmental pollution ,and undermine local traditions and ways of life .So their views have both merit and dismerit .We should find the right balance with tourism development.

Weekly Writing 3-----------Lucy

what will you do when you have holidays? I think most of you will choose trip.In nowadays, the pressure from society and work is increase. So people should have a way to relax. Then, the tourism develops strongly. So many tourists go to the travel sites to visit. While, do you think the safety of the sites?

Indeed, the tourism's development drives economic increase. And tourism develops a new industy. Also, people can know the history deeply by visiting. While, the destory by them also make the sites unperfect. Of course, different people have different views.

Some think tourism makes more people have jobs, the road wide and improve the local people's life. Secondly, make the culture including festival and pyhsical history knew widely. Secondly, enviromental protection.Economic drives preserve nature, wildlife and urban cleanliness.Next is foreign exchange. For instance, resources to import food, pharmaceutical ,technology and conumer goods.(From Travel and Tourism-Environment, Economics,Education.)

The opposite side think culture destory. Cultural destruction insists of loss languge, religion, rituals, material culture. And environmental destruction(game drives, resorts: golf, ski, beach, desert, world as play ground. And so on.(From Travel and Tourism-Environment, Economics, Education.)

So what can i do about this?Support the traditional cultural legacy and patronize locally produced products.Maybe sth. else.

In conclusion, economic develpment of course is very important, while, also focus on the local enviroment. Then tourism will walk longer.

Weekly writting 3---by Sylvia

With the development of the society, more and more people want to travle around all over the world to enjoying life. It goes a saying that every coin have two sides. There is no consensus of opinions among people about travelling. Some people are in favour of the view that tourism have a lot of benfits, while others take an opposite side, firmly believing that tourism would bring great negative effect. As far as I am concerned, both of them are right. The reasons are obvious.

Some people are in favour of the idea of tourism. They point out the fact that there are a number of benefits of tourism for both the tourist and the host destination. On the one hand, the tourism industry includes many different areas, so it also creats a lot of job positions in many different areas. With tourism comes travel agencies, hotels, restaurants and much more. All of these provide a lot of positions for local people. On the other hand, the intoduction and development of the tourism gives local people an opportunity for economic and educational growth. In addition, it allows both the tourist and the local community a chance to experience other cultures, which broadens understanding.

However, other people stand on a different ground. They consider that travelling has great negative effect. Although tourism can be very beneficial, especially economically, it is harmful to environment. Many resorts, especially large resorts, are very rarely environmentally friendly, and in turn do not normally attract an environmentally conscious clientele. Not only does heavy construction aid erosion (especially in tropical climates) but essentially, construction and development equals pollution. Tourist generated pollution comes from things such as rental car exhaust and oil leaks, machinery used to build hotels, commercial airplanes, and airport construction just to name a few (McLaren, 1998). In addition to tourism's environmental impacts on host destinations, there are also many important cultural issues to consider. Some of these issues result from the environmental impacts that carry over into the community. According to NGO Third World Network president, Martin Khor, globalization is the leading threat to local communities especially in the global, (McLaren, 1998).

To sum up, tourism have both advantage and disadvantage. If we can exploit the destination of tourism resonably, the negative effect of tourism may be low.

Weekly Writing #3 ---Justin

Nowadays, a long stay in the same surroundings to make everything the same, so with the rapid economic development and continuous improvement of people's living standard, more and more people like taking a trip. I think tourism can bring large benefits for society, but if tourism outweight the cost, it also negative for tourism industry. In this essay, it aim to explore this complicated phenomenon from advantage, disadvantage and bring up some effective solution of this issue.

First and foremost, it is beyong any dispute that tourism can contribute to economic growth and gevelopment. It can provide better oppertunities for career and ti does`t need high work skills. In addition, tourism is a no smoke industry, it does`t bring pollution for environment. It does bring good mood and wide horizon for people. Therefore, tourism is very useful for society, it is a vital important industry.

However, if benefits of tourism outweight the costs and over committing tourism, there will destroy the tourism industry. For instance, thousands upon thousands of foreign visitors are crowding into some scenic spots of China, receipt so many tourists that exceed the ceiling, the uncivilized behavior will be seen eberywhere and tour facilities will be damaged(Hongxia 2007). It impact other tourists visit mood and quality. It also affect the sustainable development of tourism.

Solving the negative factor of tourism is very necessary. Inevitable, as a operator, they should reinforce management to protect tour facilities and improve service scale and holding capability. Another equally important factor lies in controle numbery of tourists. The tourist must aviod the tourism rush hour. Lastly but not least, government should strengthen the publicity and education to tourists(Yutian 2008). Let`s tourists realized the importance of protect tour facilities and civilized behavior in tourism.

In conclusion, we should emancipated the mind and promote the tourism scientific progress. In the foreseeable future, let`s tourism bring more benefit to mankind!

Debate follows bills to remove clotheslines bans--------CHENG TAO GONG

As the technology has been improved speedily, cloth dryers become more popular than it was before .many people have different opinion on that whether the cloth dryers should instead of the clotheslines to try cloth or should not .people has discussed about that remove clotheslines bans . Form the point of my view, I think this case has both disadvantages and advantages side.

Clotheslines is a very good way to save energy and money, the cost of clothesline is much cheaper than the cost of use a dryer .using the cloth dryer will cost us more electricity money . In addition, covered global warming problems, the cloth dryer is an absolutely bad choice to dry our cloths. Many families can not afford a dryer machine and its electricity fees.

On the other hand, clotheslines are a big problem for that people who do not have their own garden. Many people viewed that dry their cloth as an eyesore; even some people had arguments with their neighbors because of that they dry cloths in the garden. A dry machine is more efficiency than the clotheslines, because using the clotheslines need to considers the weather and it also will takes a longer time than the dryer machines to dry the clothes.

In conclusion, for this case we should not only consider the cost of using a dryer machine but also need to concern our environment.

weekly 2 essay——terry

When clothes are dirty, people usually wash them with water, then, people need to dry this clothes.which way you would choose to make clothes dry.

In this essay,I will disscuss about Clothesline should be removed in bills or not.In westen countries, people used to dry machine.Dry machine is more convenient and less time.Simultaneously people need not space to dry,and the clothes will be seen if it is drying under the sun .The most facor is that clothes can be dry in rain day. That is why more and more people use dryer instead of sun clothes.

Like anything else,it also has its own dark side,as evidenced in energy, moneg, unhealthy and so on.According to statistics, every year,Americans spend over 1 billion dollar on dryer, and the energy are wasted unconsiousty.people should use sunshine not only to keep electricity.but also more healthy. The sunshine can disinfect and bask in clothes have a taste of sunshine. The clothes dryed will be hard and destroyed.

My experience tells me that drying under the sun is the best way to dry clothes, but not in rain day.

Luyu----Debate Follows Bills to remove Clotheslines Bans

Clotheslines Bans should remove or not? Now became a controversial issue talking in the America.

Some people agree to revoke clotheslines bans, because nowadays the global warming becoming more and more serious, dry the laundry outside can save a lot of energy, which can save at least 6 per cent of all household electricity consumption. Sounds economic! So, should not be prohibited by their neighbors or local community. We should act in an environmentally minded way in order to make out life much better. As we can see, most of the proponents are environmental concerners! But, unfortunately, there are a lot of kids who don’t even know what a clothespin is? Which make a stark comparison!

However, people think clotheslines should be prohibited also makes a lot of sense. Like some residents treat it as an eyesore——a marker of poverty that lowers property values. Indeed, many people do not interesting to see others laundry blowing in the breeze, they are much prefer to enjoy birds, trees and flowers when look out the window. For many older folks, they thought dry laundry outdoors is synonymous with being too poor to afford a dryer. And the reality is, because the laundry hanging out, the house went into foreclosure.

In my opinion, I think drying clothes itself is a mundane thing. In the nature way or in the electronic way both are okay. It is just personal preference. Have not necessary to unify, which is worthy not much meaning. The problem related to individual rights, private property, class, aesthetics, the environment… It just makes a simply thing too complex! My advice is, High-tech is a good way to make out life more convenience. But, if we are not urgent, if possible, if it can make our environment better and better, we should better use the environmentally way to dry out laundry. Because a good environment much important than any other things.

Weekly Writing 2------Galen

In present-day society, it is generally believed that environment is playing an increasingly important role in our lives. Global warming was became a big problem for people in this world, human want find some good way to solve that.
Jill Saylor decided to save energy by her laundry on a clothesline at her mobile home. She was standing in front of her tidy yellow mobile home on an impeccably manicured lawn. But she forgot that people who now live in the countries almost in the private communities. In the last year, some states like Colorado, Hawaii, Maine and Vermont have overridden these local rules with legislation protecting the right to hang laundry outside. Some other s had state such laws, and similar bills are being considered in these states, clothesline advocates say.
On the other hand, the new laws have provoked a debate. Some others think that they should not be prohibited by their neighbors or local community agreements from saving on energy bills or acting in an environmentally minded way. Somebody who is a spokesman for the national Community Associations Institute said it’s hard enough to sell a house in this economy. Opponents the laws lifting bans erode local property rights and undermine the autonomy of private communities.
Follow both side of the argument discussed, speaking for me, save energy is a good way, but this law not good enough. Because save energy have many other ways, and protect the environment also have many other ways. Just like control pollution, increase human quality and consciousness.
To put all into one nutshell, all the evidence lend the strongest support to my persuasive conclusion that this law about save energy need more perfect, and people should think about good way about environment and global warming.

Writing by Lin

Recently, there is a debate about removing clotheslines bans in USA. Both sides’ people have strong arguments to support their point. This controversy will keep on a period of time.

For proponents, they say that it is human being right that people should not be prohibited by their neighbors or local community agreement from saving on energy bills or acting in an environmentally minded way.

Opponents say the laws lifting bans erode local property rights and undermine the autonomy of private communities.

In my opinion, I do not understand why people want to forbid hanging clotheslines. It is a good way to protect our environment. In addition, drying by sun which can disinfect germ is good for our health. There is not denying that science and technology change human’s the life style, but it does not mean all of change is good. I prefer to do something by myself such as brushing teeth, washing underwear. Maybe in the future people do not have to do anything but pressing the button, It is so terrible that people become lazy and mechanical.

To sum up, whatever who is the final winner. In fact, nowadays more and more people have no idea about the old tools in particular children, so they can not understand why some people still use clotheslines even though the clothes dryers are fast and convenient.

Weekly Writing 2 By Tony

It has been a controversial topic for recent days in USA. It has to be admitted that there exists a fierce controversy over the issue whether bills to remove or not to remove clotheslines bans. People from all walks of life can hardly reach an absolute consensus, as I see it, the boons brought about by the former far outweigh the banes.

Granted, the latter does not come without any drawbacks. In the first place, there is no denying the fact that it has many disadvantages about keep clotheslines bans. Specifically, bills to keep clotheslines bans, people should use clothes dryer to drying their laundry. It is the way of waste energy, than, it causes Environmental pollution, such as covered global warming. Furthermore, it is difficult to sell a house in this economy where the bill to keep clotheslines bans. Because people like drying their laundry on a clothesline by sunshine outside.

On the other hand, convincing arguments can be made those bills to remove clotheslines bans. First and foremost, it goes without any saying that it can save more energy. Because the clothes dryers use at least 6% of all household electricity consumption. In addition, sheet dangling in the wind are beautiful if they are helping the environment. Consequently, some experts are arguing the clothesline law might qualify. Last but not the least, no one should fail to take into account that at least eight states already limit the ability of homeowners associations to restrict the installation of solar energy system.

To conclude, regarding this issue, my own view is that bills to remove clotheslines bans. Also I believe what we should do is figure out a rational balance between them, bring its strengths into full play and diminish its weaknesses to the least extent.

Face to Drying Clothes
In recent years private environmental problems and energy issues become to heat up, some contradictions in people's ordinary lives are gradually appearing. This eassay will focus on a news "Debate Follows Bills to Remove Clotheslines Bans" and discussion on the issue of drying clothes. This eassay will pointed out the reasons which people agree and disagree with the attitude of drying clothes by air, and gives the my views and comments.
Now many people think that to dry clothes outdoor will affect other people's vision, and will cause some economic problems, such as real estate price reduction and a marker of poverty that lowers property values. So some people support legislation to prohibit outdoor clothesline. For example Richard Jacques, 63, president of the condominium’s board, said “Those rules are why when I look out my window I now see birds, trees and flowers, not laundry,”
But many people believe that outdoor clothes to dry will help save energy. They believe that clothes dryers use at least 6 percent of all household electricity consumption. In addition, some people think that sheets dangling in the wind are beautiful if they're helping the environment.
Finally, I think the clothes to dry outdoors is the ability to save energy, and the sun's ultraviolet rays can kill many bacteria which a dry-cleaning machines can not do it. If you plot a suitable venue for people to dry clothes, I would like to say the economy of housing should be growth.

weekly writing 2-----By Candy

In recent year, the global warming issue is become ever-increasingly fierce and human tries every attempt to seek a way to solute it. So somebody decided to drying laundry on a clothersline, because it is a useful way to save energy, but a bills to remove clotherlines bans. As a result it take a controversial debate as to its merits and cons. We believe the clotherline issue should be viewed in an specific manner.

On the one side, despite somebody eager to participate in resolve the energy problem, but they can not accept dry laundry outside. They feel it as an eyesore, it will let them uncomfortable.People choose live in a community specifically for strict regulation, because they just want to if they look out, they can see some wonderful thing, they don't think laundry is a beautiful thing. It was also happened a horrorble thing cause of lanudry outside that one man killed another because he can't endure it, maybe it made he mad.

On the other side, numerous people keep a tolerant attitude, they can understand hanging laundry meanwhile support it. Somebody think sheets dangling in the wind are beautiful, beacause it can save energe meanwhile reduce household electricity consumption. And there are also exist people who is too poor to afford a dryer, it is a good way to deal with a lot problem. And a part of person think all these quertions about individual rights, private property, class, aesthetics, the environment, so it can "Drying for Freedom". Somebody think sheets dangling in the wind are beautiful

From my view, I don't mind that people lanudry outside, from the long run,it is helping the environment, we need consider for our generations, it is more significant that give them a health living environment rather than debate to remove clotheslinesbetter.I don't think lanudry outside will take negative effact. Maybe some people unaccept it, we should respect it, so maybe the community can consider to construct a place to hanging laundry, they can choose it if they want.

Maria’s Weekly writing 2

Last year, there is a popular topic about global warming in the USA, because this topic causes a problem that is to save energy by drying laundry on a clothesline in the outside. But for this problem, living different place people have different ideas, proponents endorse the clothes should be bask in the outside to save energy of electricity, however, opponents approve of the clothes should be drying in the washing machine, in this way, they can have a perfect environment to see the beautiful city. If everyone basks their clothes in the outside, the city would become mess-up.

Proponents argue that hanging the clothes was allowed in the outside. Moreover, Mary think sheets dangling in the wind are beautiful if they’re helping environment, she could not hang her laundry outdoors after her daughter recently suggested she do so to save energy. Some research indicates since clothes dryers use at least 6 percent of all household electricity consumption one year. It is obvious that if everybody saves energy of electricity to hang their clothes in the outside, they could save much money and energy for society.

On the other hand, opponents debate that when I look out window I hope see birds, trees and flowers, not laundry. Furthermore, some people say the laws lifting bans erode local property rights and undermine the autonomy of private communities. A real is many clothes hang in the outside affecting the appearance of a city. The police say one man shot and killed another last year because he was tired of telling the man to stop hanging his laundry outside in the film.

As far as I concerned, whether clotheslines should be banned or should be hanged in the outside, it should up to personal ideas. It means “drying for freedom”. As we know, there are about 60 billion people living in the world, if we demand everyone how to do, it isn’t real. It seems like such a mundane thing, hanging laundry, and yet it draws in all these questions about individual rights, private property, class, aesthetics, the environment. Therefore, I think hanging clothes should base on individual issues to decide how to do. In this way, we just have a well-ordered society and harmony with nature of life.

Leo's Home Work week2

Form now on,large number of citizen want to save the energyfor protecting the environment,After i read the information of people discussed the bills to concle the prohibition of banned trandational drying clothes.I realized that a part of American resident used to dry theres stuff by clothesline, however, the state what they does not allow to do this behavior, because it be banned. And this essay will explain the opinion of people in the USA how do they face this question.

On one hand, some peole who take the suggest that want to use the traditional way to dry the clothes. On their's mind they think that since clothes dryers use at least 6 percent of all household electricity comsumption. Therefore, it have lots of advocates to protect. For example,I think sheets dangling in the wind are beautiful if they’re helping the environment,Marry said, amost 90 years old.And the person think that is owner's right and freedom and nobody should not be banned. So we need remove the ban and we can save the electric power.

On the other hand, they hold the stronger opinion hope this law is right and we can not break it out. Some of states of the USA carried out this law long times. For example Florida and Utah already had such laws, and similar bills are being considered in Maryland, North Carolina, Oregon and Virginia, and most of them thought when the see the cloutheslines it as an eyesore and like a sign of poverty of lowe-level's property values.

In conclusion,i completely agree with the former opinion and i think that is basic right of resident and save more energy which bring lots of benefits to the society, therefore,we require remove this bans.At the same time we need the gavment to let the medium spread this sight.

Weekly Writing 2- By Rebecca

Hanging the laundry outside or not that caused a great effect for all level of the person. Some people were forbidden their laundry outside. They consider the factors are pleasing to the eye and local property rights. However another side retort that laundry outside can save energy and environmentally protection. And finally what is the manner about the personages of all circles. This essay will describe the debate about drying the laundry.

The opponents firmly believe that dry the laundry outside should be baned, and they against it for a couple of sound reasons. Firstly, they viewed it as an eyesore. Because they think it is not graceful.Secondly they consider that the laws lifting bans erode local property right and slowly destroy the autonomy of personal communities. Finally, the true things that a man tried of telling another man to stop hanging his laundry outside , then he kill him. From this you can see someone very hate this behave.

The supporters think hang laundry outside can saving on energy bills and also environmentally protection. Dry the laundry by machine can eat a lot of power. Some people look the varicoloured sheet dangling in the wind are beautiful. They do not think that is effect the city artistic.

Democratic lawmaker introduced the " wind energy drying devices".Not only it is can save the energy but also it can not effect the artistic. And Steven Lake said that hanging laundry is individual rights, private ,class, aesthetics, the environment. Different area person treat this thing hold different points.

To sum up, In my opinion, although some people consider that laundry outside is not beautiful, but not yet ban the clothesline yet. We should find the method which can make the best of both worlds, like " wind energy drying device " it can solve the save energy problem and it is not effect the artistic. Maybe everyone step back and think how to resolve the dispute, nowadays,it could not these difficult to be solved have appeared.
