the differences between British culture and Chinese culture

When i was in China,i have heard many differences between British culture and Chinese culture.

To start with that,in British, people meet in the morning, they will firstly talk about the weather, like"what a lovely weather",but in china, they will say"hello "or"good morning"to each other at first.

Both British and Chinese people have two kinds of personal names,a surname and a given name. But the order and the use of these names in the two countries are different. In China, the surname comes first and then the given name. And people like add“little”before their family name. Such as“little Wang”、“little Su” "little li"and so on.. While British names are written and spoken with the given name first and the family name last, like,David Beckham family name is Beckham, not David.

Then talking about the differences about the diet culture.British don't eat all the parts of the animals, but chinese do,such as the ducks ' heads, the chickens' feets and the other organs. If the British see that every part of the Chinese eat, that they would be shocked. And chinese choose food just for pleasure, but British pay more attention on the nutrition. They care about that one day how much calories absorbed.

Actually, when i came to the UK,i found that the UK stores closed much eariler in China. Chinese shop usually doesn't close untill 10 pm.And in china, there are many KTV,we can sing songs and drink wine in that place. If you want, you can stay up all night. I realised that the entertainment in china is more wonderful in UK.

To sum up, there also are many other differences between the British culture and Chinese culture, that I can't write respectively .

  1. Thank you for your essay, Sue!
Very good use of introduction and conclusion!
You talk about some very interesting points and you use paragraphs which is very important, but you need to use more transitions and linking words/sentences to connect your ideas. Otherwise, the essay will not have a clear structure that connects similar ideas and main points.

Beware of wrong vocabulary: the British are the people, and Britain is the country. Also,
'actually' is used to show a contradiction to an idea, and should not be used to begin a paragraph.

Well done though, and thank you for sharing your ideas!
