Recently, there is a debate about removing clotheslines bans in USA. Both sides’ people have strong arguments to support their point. This controversy will keep on a period of time.

For proponents, they say that it is human being right that people should not be prohibited by their neighbors or local community agreement from saving on energy bills or acting in an environmentally minded way.

Opponents say the laws lifting bans erode local property rights and undermine the autonomy of private communities.

In my opinion, I do not understand why people want to forbid hanging clotheslines. It is a good way to protect our environment. In addition, drying by sun which can disinfect germ is good for our health. There is not denying that science and technology change human’s the life style, but it does not mean all of change is good. I prefer to do something by myself such as brushing teeth, washing underwear. Maybe in the future people do not have to do anything but pressing the button, It is so terrible that people become lazy and mechanical.

To sum up, whatever who is the final winner. In fact, nowadays more and more people have no idea about the old tools in particular children, so they can not understand why some people still use clotheslines even though the clothes dryers are fast and convenient.
