weekly writting 2-----by Sylvia

Recently, the debate whether coltheslines should be banned has become the focus of the society. Because environmental protection is becoming one of the most important world's theme. More and more people realized that environment has been playing an increasingly vital role in our day-to-day life. So there are entirely different opinions among people as to banning clotheslines.

On the one hand, some people claim that people should dry their laundry outside by clotheslines instead of clothes dtyers. There are statistics show that clothes dryers use at least 6 percent of all household electricity consumption. We can save much energy if every people can abandon clothes dryers, and we act in an environmentally minded way.

On the other hand, although more and more people come to believe that it is a good way to save energy by using clotheslines, there are still others who hold different opinions about using clothes dryers. They consider that it is an eyesore if they viewed someone's laundry outside. And this kind of law would erode local property rights and undermine the autonomy of private communities.

In my view, both sides are partly right in that we should save energy and respect for some people's aesthetics. My own experience tells me that clothes should be put under the sun, because sunlight has a function that it can kill bacteria. But Uk's home has no balcony to dry clothes in the sun. So it is a thorny problem indeed.

From what has been discussed above, we may reasonably arrive at the conclusion that using clotheslines can save energy and using clothes dryers is benefit to visual comfort. In the future, people may gain from the best of both worlds to meet everyone's needs.
