Differences between British culture and Chinese culture

British? When people say about British, the first thought is "Gentleman".As far as i see,the British is really very kind. While, maybe there are so many people in China,Chinese can't very friendly when waiting bus and so many places. It's very different between the two coutries. We can see the culture from this aspect.
Chinese culture dated from five thousand year ago,so it's very long. But in the past, feudal thoughts played a leader role in culture. It is self-evident,it is out.Britain is a develpoed country and thought is open.So the technology and ideas are better than ours. While, these years since reform and opening-up,our technolgy and science develops fast .Indeed, the instance is reduced.
The most surprising, from me,is habit patterns. In China, bason is very important in daily life. You know,we can wash the clothes by it.But here,it's not popular. Also,we can put clothes outside to make them clean and dry.In Britain, the clothes only drying. It's difficult to imagine.Including the food, i think Chinese food is so delicious when i eat food here.We can cook for many ways.Fortunately,we are Chinese. We can very very delicious food.
Maybe family is the same important to two countries, the similarities only.

  1. Lucy,

Thank you for your essay. You brought up some interesting ideas, but there are a few points I noticed about your essay.

Firstly, be sure to include a general introduction and conclusion to every essay. I like the idea of starting the essay with a question ("British?"), but you must ALWAYS write in complete sentences and not one word questions.

You divided your ideas well between paragraphs (history and daily habits), but beware of unclear vocabulary usage and spelling errors that could make your reader unsure of your meaning.

ex: bason - do you mean basin? (to wash clothes in?)
ex: and in paragraph 2 "It is self-evident,it is out." Do you mean that these feudal points of view don't exist? Make sure what you refer to in the essay (when you use 'it') is clear to the reader!

Good job and thank you for sharing your thoughts!
